Change the LAN Manager Authentication Level:

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel. Select Administrative Tools. Select Local Security Settings. Select Local Policies. Select Security Options.
  2. Click the LAN Manager Authentication Level policy to open the settings dialogue box. Change the setting to "Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated." Click OK.


Change the Secure Channel Session Key:

  1. Scroll down the policy list, find "Secure Channel: Require Strong (Windows 2000 or later) Session Key."
  2. Click the policy to open it and change the setting from "disabled" to "enabled."
  3. Click OK.
